Burien Officer’s DUI Stop nets drugs, cash and suspected drug dealer!
On Monday morning just after 1 am and alert Burien Officer saw a GMC Yukon driving southbound on Ambaum Blvd approaching a red light at SW152. The driver of the Yukon did not stop for the red light until he was in the middle of the intersection. The deputy pulled behind the vehicle as it made a left turn on SW152 against the red light. The officer stopped the vehicle, conducted an investigation and arrested the 35 year old Burlington man for DUI. The man also had a warrant for DUI. During a search of the driver the deputy found approximately $9,000 cash, heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and recovered a bag containing another $31,000 cash, a scale and material commonly used to package narcotics for sales.
